Isabel Suarez

Born and raised in Austin, Texas—the “Live Music Capital of the World”—Isabel Suarez is a 23-year-old country artist making waves in the music scene. A singer-songwriter with a lifelong passion for music, Isabel grew up singing her favorite songs and dreaming of leaving her mark on the industry.

Her early love for music was shaped by the artists she admired most growing up, including Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, and Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, whose songs inspired her passion for performance, melody, and storytelling. Raised in Texas, Isabel also developed a deep connection to country music, drawn to its honesty, heart, and rich storytelling tradition. As she began to dive deeper into songwriting, the voices of country icons like Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, and Lainey Wilson became increasingly influential, shaping her craft while allowing her own voice and style to shine. Combined with the influence of her Mexican-American heritage, these experiences and inspirations have come together to build the foundation of her artistry today—creating a sound that feels timeless, heartfelt, and uniquely her own.

From singing in the backseat of her mother’s car to performing on Austin stages, Isabel has transformed her childhood dream into reality, becoming a standout talent in her hometown. Isabel’s musical journey took a pivotal turn during the 2020 lockdown, when she taught herself to play the ukulele and later transitioned to guitar. As the world reopened, she quickly immersed herself in Austin’s live music scene through local open mic nights. Her dedication and love for performance led to countless opportunities, allowing her to captivate diverse audiences with her heartfelt vocals and authentic storytelling.

In 2021, Isabel enrolled at Austin Community College, where she studied Audio Technology and Industry with a focus on music business and audio engineering. She graduated in December 2023 with an Associate of Applied Science degree, specializing in Music Business.

In January 2025, Isabel was featured in Voyage Austin’s Inspiring Stories series, where she shared her journey as an Austin musician and was named one of the city’s “Rising Stars.” (Click here to read the full article.)
